We buy our beef mainly in carcase form, which are hand picked from our wholesalers. We hang our beef for 21 days or more, so it can slowly mature. This gives it a superb taste and texture.
As we buy most beef by carcase we are able to mature it on the bone to enhance the flavour. We bone out our beef inhouse so we are able to trim all excess gristle and fat to create the perfect product for you.

Our lamb is grass fed, Scottish or West Devon in origin, where they get the benefits of lush grass pastures.
All of our pork is free range and comes from Hampshire or Scotland. This out door life not only gives you a happy pig it also gives you flavoursome moist (not wet) pork.

We carry a wide range of game ranging from pheasants to kangaroo.
Most of our feathered game - pheasants, partridge, pigeon, quail, etc comes from Pauls Game near Newbury.
Our venison is mostly wild from Lulworth ranges in Dorset usually Sika or Fallow. We also get game from Scotland via Smithfield Market.
Our exotic meat - kangaroo, bison, zebra, crocodile, ostrich and much more also comes from a specialist from Smithfield.
The haggis is very shy and has a short season due to its unusual mating habits. We can get and normally have a small stock of Mcsweens Haggis available all year round.

All the products on this page are very versatile and can be cooked indoors in the oven or weather permitting on the BBQ. Other BBQ products include marinaded ribs, pork in plum sauce, char siu duck and minted lamb leg steaks.

Although we are primarily a Butchers we do carry a stock of fish which we buy in fresh then cut pack and freeze to sell in the shop. We always have salmon fillets available fresh and on Friday and Saturday we have tuna or sword fish and sometimes blue marlin loin fresh.
We make our own seafood kebabs using the above products. All our fish and shellfish is supplied by an independent Grimsby based fish monger (T & J fisheries).
